The underground power supply system is an important part of the Mine Power Supply System. The underground power supply system is not only related to improvement of productive sfficiency, it is also of great significance for safe production in the coal-mine enterprises, in which has characteristics of the reasonable design, safety, reliability, economy and practice. As the coal-faces are constantly expanded, increasing the level of mechanization and automation, the underground power supply system becomes more complex day by day. The quantity and types of equipments are more and more, and the change's frequency of equipments is also faster and faster in the underground power supply system. So these make more difficult for the design and higher demand of designers'professional quality of the underground power supply system. At present, the CAD technology of the underground power supply design has been widely applied. However, the existent underground power supply CAD softwares'function has not been perfect, and lacks charts, selection, testing and setting of the lastest electrical equipments. Their intellectual and integrated level is not high. Based on the actual acquirement of the mine underground power supply design and designers', in combind with the advantages and disadvantages of the CAD softwares on the power supply design at home and abroad, adopted object-oriented method, used ActiveX automation technology and visual programming technology, this software system has been successfully developed with making use of VBA; which is a secondary development tool in the AutoCAD. It is an intellectual, integrated and visual CAD software system of the mine underground power supply design. It can integrally realize the function of drawing, calculation, automatically outputting the report and maintaining data of the mine underground power supply design.Firstly, in this paper, based on the data information needs of the mine underground power supply design, the software system's database was designed and realized with using the methods and steps of designing a relational database Access. Secondly, based on the characteristics of AutoCAD interface, used ActiveX automation technology and VBA, the man-machine interface was developed on the AutoCAD interface, which has the features of the underground power supply system. In the drawing module, charts were added, which represent the new types of equipments. The new types of equipments include more combination switches, the load center, and so on. In calculation and statistics module, the calculation function is richer, which consists of the selection, testing and setting of more combination switches and the load center.In output report module, used the templates of Word and the automatically creating form technology, the function of automatically outputting the report was achieved. Finally, since the modules, man-machine interface and database were integrated in the software system, the software system was formed a unified and indivisible unity. At last, this software system was tested to prove its practicality, reliability, accuracy and intelligence with the example in this artical. The research shows that it can intellectually and conveniently realize the function of drawing and calculation, rapidly output the standard report of the power supply design, conveniently and quickly improve the information of equipments in the database. The demand of designers'professional quality is reduced by making use of the software system, but the accuracy is guaranteed, the design efficiency is improved, and the design cycle is shorten of the mine underground power supply system, thereby ensuring the speedy and safe production of the coal enterprises. The power supply CAD software has well explored in the intellectual and integrated aspects.
