Research On The Urban Spatial Expansion Model In Kunming Under The Background Of Globalization

As the most famous cities of Chinese history and culture, one of the center cities in Southwest, Kunming is a typical outcome of the city development and has the problems that also exist widely in other cities in china. The study that is focused on Kunming can provide the considerable referential and reference scheme to settle the problems in terms of urban spatial expansion in the southwest even our whole country.Since the reforms and opening, with the ever-deepening globalization's impact, Kunming has got a rapid development. At the same time, a lot of urban elements, such as the industry, business and traffic, are expanding to the suburbs and urban peripheral. Kunming has been in "Urban Spatial Expansion"—a new phase of urban development.The aim of the paper is to analyze the stage features of urban spatial expansion in Kunming.
