Now it is the most critical issues that population, energy and environment is facing human survival and development. As the world population growth and rapid economic development, energy needs increase. Such conventional energy reserves as the oil, natural gas and nuclear etc is limited, energy shortage is becoming severely day by day.In recent years,the development of clean renewable sources(wind,solar,etc) is in the rapid development, paticularly the wind powerasaclean,non-polluting,renewable green energy, is abundant in the world and the most large-scale development and utilization of prospects for energy.Compared with other power generation,the wind power is also the size of one of the most competitive energy. In recent years, with the increasing maturity of wind technology, wind power installed capacity of expanding and improving network performance, increasing efficiency of power generation, wind power equipment in the global energy equipment is to the fore.Wind power refers to the way of generating that use of wind power generation units directly turning wind energy into electrical energy.that way is not only the main form of wind energy, but also the present renewable energy technology most mature, most large-scale exploitation and commercial development prospects way of generating, to reduce the greenhouse effect, inhibiting global warming,and it will play an important role to keep the ecological balance, improve the structure of electric power. However, in the existing electric power market system, the development of electricity and energy production process does not take into account the environmental pollution and resource consumption and other external costs. Renewable energy-based electricity has not been reasonable value reflected in the tariff, to compare to conventional thermal power and other energy production, wind power is uncompetitive. Based on this, under the current status of the electricity market, the operation value of the wind power was studied.Firstly, analysis the economic problems of wind power on the point of the electricity cost, describes the impacts of wind farm site selection, investment costs, operation and maintenance costs, fan service life to the internal cost of wind power, gives a mathematical model to calculate the unit cost of wind power, analysis the status and future trends of the cost of wind power, and by comparing the the social costs of wind and conventional energy to improve the competitiveness of wind power.Then, analysis and research the environmental and social benefits of wind power, introduce the concept of external costs.describes the definition and classification of external costs, introduce the important role of external costs to the electricity production.By the calculation of conventional power plants emissions and the role that wind energy to increase local employment opportunities,highlighting the advantages of wind power development.Finally, discusses wind power impact on the power system, building the mathematical model of the operation value of wind generation. Verified the advantages that compare the wind power generation and conventional power by the external costs that be taken into account.
