Research On Analysis And Evaluation Of The Quality Of Conventional Public Transit

Urban public transport is an important part of transport services sector. With urbanization and motorization speeding-up, to develop public transport by preference is one of the most effective measures to solve urban traffic problems. Since the dominant position of bus priority established, China has made great development in urban public transport. But compared with developed countries, the whole level is hysteretic, to meet the growing transport travel demand is difficult, which affects urban development and quality of people's life. Especially impacted by the traffic congestion of the whole environmental of city road, operational level of conventional public transit is difficult to meet the residents' needs. Therefore, it is of great importance to evaluate the service quality of the bus traffic both reasonably and effectively.First of all, based on analysis and summary of the domestic and international evaluation research about the conventional public transit, according to systematic exposition of the system structure and problems, the paper makes deep analysis to the service quality of the conventional public transit.Secondly, according to the principles like low correlation, broad coverage, index clearly defined, and simple, etc, the paper sets up a scientific and practical index system to evaluate the service quality from the economy, convenience, reliability,comfort and facility level aspects of the conventional public transit, and the indexes are quantified and illustrated. Then the paper constructs the gray clustering-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model and entropy weight method is introduced to determine the index weight, which makes all-round and objective comprehensive evaluation.Finally, combined with present situation of public transportation in Shanghai, the paper makes concrete analysis of Shanghai. Aimed at the evaluation results, the present situation and planning objectives, the paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to the existing problems, in order to further improve the overall level, and to service residents better.
