Research On Power Grid Fault Diagnosis Method Based On Fault Recorder Data

Fault recorder networking and fault information system(power system relay protection and fault information process system) wide application offer a large number of detailed and accurate fault recorder data for fault diagnosis. How to effectively use the data for power grid fault diagnosis is an important research subject at the present stage.This paper studies the characteristics that applicable to the fault diagnosis and the fault characteristics extraction algorithm based on fault recorder data is also described in detail. The basic fault diagnosis criterion based on fault recorder data is stated Considering the problems encountered in application, the paper proposed a concept named general slip, and general slip criterion derived from the basic criterion is also given.In order to use fault recorder data,two specific proposals for fault diagnosis is presents. Based on the second proposal, this paper studies the staged fault diagnosis method based on fault recorder data and develops the corresponding program. The method uses the first off-time of circuit breaker to achieve the division of the stages and obtains the stage characteristics by the stage characteristics extraction algorithm. Meanwhile, in order to use the above criteria for power grid fault diagnosis, the paper also presents a practical and effective approach named horizontal and vertical comparison. Furthermore, this paper also studies the judgement method of the fault property and gives the realization process. The behavior evaluation method of the protection and switching is also discussed.According to the action information of the switching collected from an actual power grid fault, this paper uses the program of PSD-SCCP for the calculation of short-circuit current, and simulated the fault recorder data of the entire fault process.Based on the database which is designed for the fault diagnosis method, the paper realize the above staged fault diagnosis method by VC++ 6.0 program. The simulation result is consistent with the actually expected situation, so it proved that the method and procedure of fault diagnosis is corrective and effective...
