The Simulation And Intelligent Evaluation System Of Marine Auxiliary Boiler

To improve the ability of seafarers has become the consensus of the maritime sector which results from the advance of ships technology, reduction of manning and enhancement of attention to the safety. As a modern engineering training system, the engineering simulator can increase the practical skills and management capabilities of marine engineers rapidly and effectively. Marine auxiliary boiler is one of the most important auxiliary machineries as well as the first equipment which enable automatic control. To learn the operation and management of marine auxiliary boiler is important to students of engineering department, and furthermore, it is a compulsory item of evaluation on practical operation to the fourth engineers. It is very important to operators on how to operate marine auxiliary boiler safely and effectively.Regarding the auxiliary boiler CPDB-40 of the fifth generation of 5540 container ship as the simulation object, this project aims to develop the computer simulation system which is provided with training and automatic assessment functions, and is also suitable for different level of operators and managers. Therefore, it can replace the current marine auxiliary boiler laboratory of maritime colleges. The latest system is not only used for teaching, but it also can meet the standard for practical operation and evaluation.Firstly, this article mainly talks about the composition of various parts and systems of marine auxiliary boilers, and next, it also analyses characteristics on various parts of boilers. Based on enough understanding on the system of marine auxiliary boiler, it develops suitable modeling program in accordance with various external features and internal structures of different systems of auxiliary boilers; moreover, it also explains the software of simulation and intelligent evaluation system of marine auxiliary boiler which includes a majority of important software and subsequent achievement.By means of computer simulation, this project make all the functions of auxiliary boiler CPDB-40 of the fifth generation of 5540 container ship come true; besides, it also can implement the operating requirements on all the evaluating items of the auxiliary boiler, e.g. the preparatory work before the boiler ignition, the manual ignition operation, the auto-ignition operation, the manual shutdown operation, and the operation on flushing water level indicator, removal of scum and blow down. Apart from basic operation, the system also embodies some malfunctions for students, e.g. high water level, low water level, emergency water level and so on.The simulation equipment of marine auxiliary boiler designed by this project operates the same as the actual one, and it directs a new way to develop this type of simulation equipment. Furthermore, this research can be taken for reference on other types of training simulators of different control equipments so that the computerized education and practical training can be carried out. Therefore, funds for purchasing equipments can be saved and training effect can be better.
