Simulation Operating System Of Ship Auxiliary Boiler Installations

Operation and management of Marine auxiliary boiler systems is not only an important item in the courses of marine engineering but also essential item for practical operation examination of 4/E.However,there have many disadvantages in training with real boiler system.Firstly,real boiler systems belong to dangerous equipments.They need to be examed evry year.Secondly,real boiler systems have high expenditure in building,operation and maintenance.Thirdly,real boiler systems can result in air pollution.In this subject,a Marine auxiliary boiler simulating system is designed according to CPDB-40 boiler system of a 5252TEU container ship.It is used to replace the real boiler in training lab of maritime college.The newly designed system can not only be applied in teaching,but also arrive at the requirements of practical operation training and practical operation examination.This system is semi-physical simulation.The panels of control boxes are same as the real devices.The graph of boiler,burning device and pipe systems desplay on MINIC board.The switches and buttons on control boxes and MINIC board can be operated.The panels of control boxes and MINIC board can show the satus of the boiler and systems,for example water level,steam pressure,burning condition and the satuses of pump,valves,etc.The training of all kinds of opration,management and troubleshooting can be performed like the operating procedure of real system.Siemens S7-200PLC is the central control unit of this simulating devices.The simulator has the functions of burning sequence control,water level control,steam pressure control,safety protection,etc.It can simulate many kinds of troubles. especially the troubles such as water loss,full water etc.which difficult to be performed in real boiler system.In this system,the I/O circuits which can save the I/O pionts of PLC are applied and decrease the cost of system hardware.The marine boiler system simulator designed in this subject is cheap and lifelike and provide with new thought for the development of simullar devices.The tecnology of PLC control,saving the I/O pionts of PLC presents definite reference value.
