In recent years, Structural Health Monitoring System has become a worldwide research focus of civil engineering scholars. It is a sign of the development of engineering theory and has increasingly become an important guarantee of design verification, construction control, safe operation, and maintenance management of major engineering structures. In connection with the problems of the current research of structural health monitoring and the development trend of it, this issue is carried out and the main contents are as follows,1. The structural health monitoring of civil engineering is comprehensively conducted; the meaning of the real-time dynamic monitoring system of structures is completed; the design theme of Structural Health Monitoring System is fully elaborated. Moreover, the design theme, ideas, and principles are applied to the experiments of high-rise buildings and bridges, which verifies the feasibility of the design application.2. An experimental study was conducted on a 18-story high-rise building in Gansu Province, and the health monitoring system was designed. Through the real-time monitoring of the building, data acquisition and processing are carried out and the stability and reliability of the building in normal use and service conditions are verified. Furthermore, damage analysis of high-rise buildings is conducted by the modal parameter identification theory based on Wavelet-based method, which provides a reference for deformation analysis and stress analysis of high-rise buildings in strong winds or earthquakes.3. The composition and characteristics of the bridge structural health monitoring system are briefly introduced and the Health Monitoring System of the design and application of the structure of a damaged bridge construction in Gansu province are tested and verified.The dead-load and dynamic-load tests of the bridge construction are respectively executed and real-time monitored by the real-time monitoring system composed of strain sensors and acceleration sensors laid in the bridge; through online and offline evaluation, the damage of the bridge is analyzed, reaching the targets for damage monitoring and analysis of the bridge construction, which provide a reference for the future real-time dynamic monitoring of the bridge construction.
