With the continuous development of international trade, the transportation of containers between different countries is also growing rapidly. Container terminal,as a transit hub of Container transportation, its logistics efficiency is very important. The container yard is the place where containers are stacked. The choice of strategies of container yard will affect the level of the port operations and efficiency of logistics. So it is very important to choose a kind of stacking strategy according to the location, throughput capacity and some other factors of the container yard.At present, the researches on container yard stacking strategy are mainly based on mathematical modeling. By doing this, they present new kinds of strategies. But as a practical application, there are only a few researches on comparison of container yard stacking strategy, but in practical operation, how to choose an appropriate strategy for the container yard is a very important issue that the terminal managers need to consider. Container Terminal is a typical discrete event system. By using discrete event system theory, the basic concept of the queuing system, combined with classical queuing theory, the container terminal queuing model is analyzed. It has Quay crane subsystem, Container truck subsystem, and Stacking crane subsystem.According to the practice, three principles include random principle, the principle of the ship and column priority principle are compared in certain restacking conditions based on Flexsim. According to the statistics characteristics of Flexsim and evaluation of stacking strategy, a set of performance indicators is established. Finally, a simple analysis is given based on simulation data. Then related to the characteristics of simulation data and the knowledge of evaluation, a method is proposed to solve the problem of comparison of stacking Strategies.
