But with the rapid development of urbanization and new rural construction, we are weak in heritage protection and lack the protection of knowledge. We neglect scientific protection of historical architecture, folk culture and natural environment. So many historical, cultural towns and villages were destroyed by the varying degrees of damage. Therefore, in order to rescue and protect the fragile historical heritage resources, we must establish a scientific evaluation system quickly. Not only many historical, cultural towns and villages were sorted in value and classified in features, and we can select towns and villages with outstanding representative and value. But also it's good for finding problems in the evaluation process. It provides scientific basis to make the protection measures and planning, and it pushes to protect historical and cultural resources better in our country.This paper is to establish a scientific, rational, with the characteristics of Southwest history and culture evaluation system for rural protection as research subjects.
