Engineering material selection is an important technical and economic problems encountered during the construction, it is directly related to the discretion of the project quality and project cost. Wall materials is the main body of building material, with environmental protection, energy saving, wall body reform, improve the indoor environment comfort execution of the strategic goal of sustainable development, all kinds of high performance, affordable on the market of new wall materials emerge in endlessly, under the background of national vigorously promote new walling materials application, how to ensure the wall materials in the engineering application of "advanced technology, safety, applicable, economic and reasonable", the importance of material selection is increasingly prominent, and therefore has become a major research topic for design and construction has become a research focus at home and abroad.Around this subject, this paper comprehensively introduces the wall materials at home and abroad, the present situation of the development and selection of wall materials work, list the new wall materials in the construction engineering application and the existing problems, from the perspective of the value engineering, through an introduction to the concept, principle of value engineering, the determination of weight is put forward in the important role of value engineering activity, through the literature inquiry, practice, and discussed the application model based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine weights, to make the weight is in conformity with scientific, feasibility and accuracy requirements. Through several weights method introduced in this paper, comparing the advantages and disadvantages, this paper expounds the theoretical foundation and application of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) application model ideas and methods. To value engineering theory and practice combine to provide a method of system, to improve the selection work, plays an important role in the application of value engineering.This article in the last chapter carries on the demonstration analysis on the value engineering activity, select a certain wall materials optimization project, through the function of value engineering analysis system, the function of the building wall materials cost index system and index system, the application of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) model is established, and determined the weight function, and then through the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to determine the coefficient of function, and acquisition cost coefficient, value coefficient, finally choose the best solution. Therefore highlight the scientific standard comparison method in value engineering activity, the importance of the value of the implementation to provide important guarantee, this study has reference significance for value engineering.Finally, this paper summarized the results of research, analysis of wall materials optimization based on value engineering in the application of analytic hierarchy process (AHP), fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method of the objective accuracy and scientific validity.
