Study On Threshold For Urban Traffic Impact Analysis

With the quick developing of our Country抯 economic and the process of the city, city traffic become more serious than before, and become important bottleneck of city developing. The city traffic improvement depends on the relationship between land use and traffic essentially. The relationship doesn抰 only exist in macrocosmic, but also in microcosmic. The macrocosmic cooperation depends on the cooperate between the general planning of land use and city traffic; and the microcosmic cooperation depends on TIA of new de3velopment. The decision of threshold for TIA is one of the difficulties in TIA, if we did TIA for all developments, it would not only increase burden on traffic planners, but also hadn抰 advantage to planning administration. Thus this dissertation aim at the applying in practice, at first it analyzed study situation all over the world; then it put forward the theory of threshold, namely site traffic makes LOS of critical sign intersections drop one grade, and it put forward one set of scientific and applied method and procedure at the basis of this theory; at last it verified the study is very valuable by case analysis...
