Structure design is applicable extensively in engineering. How to design and apply properly not only requires professional knowledge firmly but also demands some software competently.This thesis mainly focuses on structure design and analysis, furthermore application under the circumstance of the template. At first, chapter 1 of the thesis expatiates on the basic concept of the intelligent template in structure analysis and principle of using CAD/CAE/CAM for analysis for spatial integral structure under the circumstance of template. Chapter 2 introduces the method and interface of ANSYS for redevelopment by APDL, which makes the parameters transferred available between the intelligent template and APDL in FEA, meanwhile, also achieving the nesting together. Chapter 3 discusses the interface of Pro/ENGINEER named Pro/Toolkit applied for redevelopment and Pro/Detail applied for engineering drawing, also brings forward a conception that parametric design in redevelopment and the method to transfer integral structure into planar engineering drawing, which will be achieved all under the circumstance of template. The contents of chapter 4 focuses on the NC machining portion of structure introduced in chapter 3 under the circumstance of Pro/ENGINEER, moreover discusses Pro/NC and module of post processing named Pro/NCPOST. Chapter 5 mainly emphasizes basic principle and method to parametric technology that are applied under the circumstance of intelligent template. In chapter 6,it summarize the all the methods those include several key technologies solved involving with program debug and application for CAD/CAE. Chapter 7,with an instance of structure intelligent template of the gantry crane that combines with all the technologies introduced and develops a CAD/CAE/CAM system based on nesting of parameters under the circumstance of structure intelligent template. Sum and prospect will be introduced in chapter 8,and production and shortcoming included.This thesis introduces the principle and method to design and analysis ofspatial integral structure using of CAD/CAE/CAM that rely on the intelligent template. APDL language is applied for parametric design and FEA of spatial integral structure and demonstrated properly. Parametric modeling will come true attributed to the interface of Pro/ENGINEER named Pro/Toolkit, what lay the foundations of Pro/NC and achieve planar engineering drawing that make understood easily. Design of gantry crane under the circumstance of the intelligent template not only relieves the labor intensity but also improves the rationality and efficiency, moreover brings out prototype to relevant structure designed.
