Manufacturing is the supporting estate of national economy, which has created abundant substance wealth for society, and at the same time, consumed a large amount of resource and caused serious environmental pollution. Environment has increasingly been a key factor for society economy development, thereby the center and local governments of every country draw up more strict environment protection laws and consumers also greatly concern environment management. Consequently, the important problem faced by 21st century manufacturing is how to reduce resource consumption and environmental pollution. Thereby, implementing green manufacturing technology and carrying through sustainable development strategy is imperative for the 21st century manufacturing.Green manufacturing is a modern manufacturing mode, integrating all the issues of manufacturing and its ultimate goal is to reduce and minimize environmental impact and resource consumption during product life cycle that includes design, production, packaging, transportation, use and disposal.Green manufacturing process planning is one of the key technologies of green manufacturing, in which environmental impact and resource consumption issues are considered synthetically and by which the optimal process project can be drawn up with the goal of guaranteeing machining quality, minimizing machining cost, minimizing machining time, minimizing environmental negative impact and maximizing resource utilization efficiency. It mainly includes process element planning, process course planning, and green evaluation of process project.This paper studies in depth the key technology of process course planning, on the base of collecting broadly the relate literature and works, which relies on the National 863 Plan Project of China - "Study on the Key Enabling Technology of Process Planning for Green Manufacturing and Application Supporting System" and the project funded by Natural Science Fund of Hubei Province- "Study on Green Process Planning Model Base and Practical Technology".1 The research source and significance is introduced, and the research present state in and out of our country of green manufacturing process planning is summarized.2 The case-based optimum design method of green manufacturing process parameter is proposed, and case-base establishing, similarity coefficient determining, case extracting, and optimization principles are analyzed. On the base of that, optimization mathematical model is established and the solving algorithm is studied.3 Process route optimization problem is studied. There are two cases, one is that process route is not drafted and the other has been drafted. For the first case, the paper establishes greenmanufacturing process route decision-making model, and proposes genetic simulated annealing algorithm to solve the model. For the second case, establishing green evaluation of process routes model, which decision-making objectives are economical efficiency (Ec). resource consumption (R) and environmental impact (E,) and proposing comprehensive evaluation method based on fuzzy integral to solve it.4 Machine energy-saving scheduling optimization technology is studied. In machining workshop, energy consumption of machine is one of main sources generating resource consumption and environmental impact. In multi-machine machining system, in terms of the difference of every machine energy consumption character, and different process requirements of works, it can gain marked energy-saving effect by optimally scheduling between machines and works. Based on above theory, the paper establishes energy-saving optimum scheduling model of multi-works to multi-machines.5 On the base of above studies, green manufacturing process course planning sub-system is developed, which is an important module of green manufacturing process planning application support system.
