The third period RCC Cofferdam plays an important role in Three Gorges Project (TGP). To be completed safely, quickly and in high quality has important meaning for realizing the three main objects including sluice, navigation, electricity generating of TGP. In addition, it has significance for developing the technology of quick building -dam in our country, shortening the construction period of the hydropower project, thus increasing the economic benefit of the project. In this dissertation, the research of Quick Construction (QC) at home and abroad is reviewed. Furthermore, a system model of QC is studied based on the analysis of system structure and the aim of QC of the hydraulic and hydropower project. In addition, through introducing the Concurrent Engineering (CE) of manufacturing industry into construction project management, the author also studies the cooperation problems between sub-systems and applies it in the construction organization of the hydraulic and hydropower project successfully. The most important part is that through introducing the concept of the process and organization reconstruction, this paper brings forward a novel concept in the process control and the construction organization management during QC of the hydraulic and hydropower project. A construction simulation model of the third period RCC Cofferdam is built in this study. Through analyzing of simulation results, the correlation between sub-systems is figured out. The construction scheme is optimized and adjusted. The strategies of the third period RCC cofferdam are studied.
