Three gorges hydro project on the Changjiang River attracts worldwide attention for its huge-scope, depth and width in specialties and complexity of construction technique. To reach top-ranking engineering quality and build topping three gorges project, concrete construction techniques have been further unproved, and new equipments, new materials, new techniques and new craftworks have been extensively used in construction of flood-discharging monoliths in second-stage project of three gorges project, which has obtained favorable economic benefit and social benefit. Rinsing concrete surfaces with water jetting at high pressure is used in dispose of fracture surfaces of concrete, which greatly improves the work efficiency of construction, and which reduces pollution of cabin surfaces. Wide application of type steel molding boards improves molding quality of dam concrete and engineering schedule. To avoid manual labor of chiseling-grossness, in the area of second-stage concrete construction, permanently non-removed metal molding boards nets are used as molding boards of first-stage concrete. Substitution joints of reinforcing steel bars for traditional electric welding and usage of equipments for joints of reinforcing steel bars efficiently improve strength of junctions and rate of connecting reinforcing steel bars, and safety of construction and stability of quality, and greatly reduce cost. It's possible that three gorges project become top-ranking project in the world by study on systems engineering of high-strength concrete construction. Application of integrate temperature-controlling technique efficiently depresses heat-production of dam concrete. Application of dispose techniques of concrete surfaces and fractures enhances integration and durability of buildings. Construction quality and engineering schedule of second-stage three gorges project can be ensured by improvement of concrete construction techniques.
