The Evolution Of Traditional Settlements And The Inheritance Of Settlement Traditions

The treatment object of the thesis is the traditional settlements of Zang nationality at Gannan and the focus of the treatment is put on the two words "evolution" and "inheritance". The thesis starts from a real-state investigation on the current situation and traces back to the historical evolution from the Tufan Dynasty. Emphasis is put on the analysis of type property characteristics of traditional settlements of Zang nationality at Gannan and on the external "appropriateness" and the internal "harmony" of its development laws. Then the development and prospect on the predicament of the Zang nationality traditional settlements at Gannan in the new area are put forward. It is hoped that through the study of the thesis, an exploration on the construction of the human-living environment in the region could be made. The structure of the thesis can be roughly divided into the following four parts. Part 1 is an introduction. It includes the object, methods, purposes and meanings studied in the thesis. Under the background of the sustainable development of the human-living environment, the object of the overlapping of the three elements of "Gannan, Zang nationality and traditional settlements" is taken as the key point of the treatment in the thesis. Part 2 is the first part of the article. Starting from the real-state investigation, actual evidence playing the main role, the natural and social background and the current situation of related settlements, the environment, structure and forms of settlements, and people's activities in settlements are collected and visited. Based on this, the historical and evolution process of the development of traditional settlements of Gannan Zang nationality in different historical period of nationality immigration, exile, tangled warfare and merging, is traced. Part 3 is the middle part of the thesis. Characteristics of type property of residential settlements in the region of Gannan are identified and confirmed through comparison and research on traditional civil residential settlements at Gannan and traditional residential settlements of areas inhabited by Zang nationality. In addition, a summary and induction of the internal genes of the evolution and inheritance of traditional settlements and the model language of settlement traditions are made through the analysis of the internal "appropriateness" and the external "harmony" in Zang nationality's traditional settlements at Gannan. Part 4 is the final section of the thesis. In the new era, there is the progress of social changes and reforms, such as the changes of the economic structure, the worsening of the ecological environment and the renewal of ideas. And there is also the execution of a series of policies such as the reforesting and grass-planting some of the cultivated land and the settlement of herdsmen. In such situation, traditional settlements of Zang nationality at Gannan are or will be facing contradictions and conflicts, renewal and transformation, and sublation and creation. Under the guidance principles of seeking truth from facts and the view of scientific development, a development prospect of traditional settlements of Zang nationality at Gannan is put forward in the thesis.
