Hangzhou is situated in the hot-summer and cold-winter region, with typical characteristic of climate diversification: hot in summer and cold in winter. Indoor physical environment are not satisfacted at large in hangzhou. On 2003 summer, high-temperature climate continued for more than 40 days, and residents of hangzhou began to set air conditioning equipments in their rooms, which lead to the great increase in electric power. It can be forecasted that with a rapid growth of air -conditioning equipment, the burden of electric power will be more and more severity. So, it's urgent to settle the problems as follows of designing the energy-efficiency residential buildings, decreasing the building energy-consumption, and improving the indoor thermal environment comfort.First of all, this paper summarizes the Hangzhou climate characteristic and indoor thermal environment situations in summer and winter, and the residential buildings construction, on the base of which during investigating and analyzing hundreds of Hangzhou residents electric power consumption, characteristic and index, to make a pilot study on the residential buildings energy-consumption problem.Secondly, through generalizing the building energy-efficiency technologies adapting to Hangzhou, simulates the inner thermal environment and calculates the air-conditioning energy consumption in the typical residential buildings in Hangzhou by DOE-2 program, under which analyses quantitatively the relationship between the building planning design and envelope thermal properties as well as air-conditioning energy consumption, thereby offering architects impersonal conclusion for practice.At last, based on the above of all, by taking an Hangzhou uptown as a case study, bring forward the residential building energy-efficiency technology design project by Design Standard for Energy Efficient of Residential Buildings DB33/1015-2003, following that the feasibility of the project is calculated and analyzed.The above study and conclusions are expected to be directly applied by architects and relative technicians.
