With the development of the research on electronic controlled engine, new requirement has been put forward to the engine test. The computerization of engine test has become one of the most important methods to improve the efficiency and quality of the engine test. Meanwhile the technology of data acquisition (DAQ) is widely used in industry. How to collect and deal with the data quickly in order to meet the need of real time control is always the focus of the research of DAQ. After investigating various automated measurement techniques detailedly, a MCU-based automated data acquisition analysis system of engine crank's top dead center is given in this dissertation and the data acquisition and analysis program is accomplished.Power control of electronic controlled engine is basing on the fuel quantity value calculation and the crank's angle setting. While the crank's angle sensor arise an arriving signal of top dead centre, the piston is up to the top dead centre. But there is a little offset error when the piston arrives at the top dead center because of the assembling error. In order to improve the accuracy of fuel injection, it needs to accurately measure the offset error offline of the top dead center position and crank's angle, and then revise the instability caused by these offset errors.This system is mainly basing on the MCU DS89C420, on basis of solution and calculation of various electric signals, it can adjudge the signal of crank angle sensor. According to the feedback impulse of server electromotor photoelectric coder, it can samples data of top dead center and piston distance continuously. On hardware, it has designed adjusting circuit of DS89C420, register and sensor signal, the interface of MAX1290, MAX518 and RS232. With the applying of crank angle sensor and sever electromotor photoelectric coder, it attains logic control of this system. On software, it uses language C on main program and data solution program, it uses assemble on data sampling, and it also do some research on communication between MCU and PC. This system uses Visual Basic on PC program of data sampling.
