| Insufficient supports are now being supplied by CAD technology to products design. A solution to this problem is apply Natural Language Understanding(NLU) to product design by understanding and analyzing the user's needs expressed in form of natural language, to realize the autoimmunization and intelligence of products design. Aiming at finding a solution to the contradiction between the large amount of knowledge and the need of proceeding efficiency, we bring forward a Conceptual Dependency Tree (CDT) model based on the existing knowledge expressing theories.Firstly, an analysis of the necessity and feasibility of researching and designing NLU-system face to a certain field is given, and the need of knowledge expressing and knowledge base system is pointed out. Secondly, knowledge, the existing knowledge expressing theories and knowledge base system are discussed in detail, and then point out that CDT should be used to express and manage knowledge. Thirdly, the relation between the intension and the extension of concept and the relation between concepts are analyzed, then a CDT model is put forward on the base of existing knowledge expressing theories, and then its application in nature language understanding system is introduced. Finally, an introduction of how to realize CDT model is given, and its application in mechanical design is introduced, an ideal result is achieved. |
