It has been widely used in mechanical manufacture as a successful virtual design system. It can be developed by any languages that depends OLE and COM techniques such as VB, VC, Delphi. With Solidworks API function, users can easily develop the applicable virtual design system according to product's characteristics in different fields.The paper brings forword a vessel structure virtual design systems, which secondly developed with object-oriented programming in Solidworks. It mainly introduces the structure of the system and the functions of main modules, discusses the key techniques and methods in modeling data product in virtual design. On the basis of results from lines design, system can establish a 3D vessel hull model and complete vessel structure design. The system realizes the main functions in virtual design system, including parametric modeling, dynamic modifying and data product managing. A uniform vessel product data model that integrates designing and manufacturing information can be built in computer, which can help users obtain graphic and digital records in product, and use them in the following design and manufacture. |
