With the development toward large capacity and high parameter of unit, the electrical automation level is increasingly emphasized in the power plant. However, the automation level of electrical monitor and controller is still lower due to traditional reason. Against to the situation of the difference of control level between electric automation and thermal process automation in power plant, the shortage of current used modes in plant is analyzed based on project practice in this paper. A new system configuration based on CAN bus and Ethernet is proposed, which realizes the electric integrated automation of the whole plant. The design scheme of supervisory unit device is presented. The hardware circuit of this device is designed. The software of communication interface is compiled. In this scheme, the hardware platform composed by advanced 32-bit embedded microprocessor unit and high-precision 16-bit A/D is adopted. In the design of its software, the method based on multi-task real-time operating system is used. The strategy of communication is analyzed. The main function of the monitor manage system is described in details and some monitor manage softwares are designed.
