To seek to the harmonization between the present and the traditional, space makes the low-rise be fitted to adaptability. So far, "the modern techniques carry forward the tradition soul and the tradition lies in the present" is in the architecture design .The paper researches the housing space in the west of Sichuan. It discusses the development of the housing, and analyzes the style of the traditional folk house in ancient Sichuan, and finds the suitable style in the low-rise housing.The traditional dwellings evident how the ancient people lead a poetic inhabit of the earth, which appeals to us who the architecture concerned is the human being itself.
