| Facing fierce competition in mechanical manufacturing market, the information level of enterprise is becoming a key competitive power to answer challenges of the changing market. As we know, CAPP (computer aided process planning) system joint CAD (computer aided design) and production management system. The research of CAPP is important for improving efficiency of management and competitive ability of enterprise in market.The background of the paper is the project of "Jiajiang Hydraulic Machinery Works intranet CAPP system", which is developed jointly by Jiajiang Hydraulic Machinery Works and Sichuan University. The CAPP system introduced in the paper is suitable to apply in hydraulic machinery industry, it is developed by analyzing the production styles of large hydraulic machinery manufacturing industry and studying of updated national and abroad CAPP technique, and engineering database technique and intranet technique was also introduced in it. The application of the CAPP system makes a firm foundation for enterprise information integration. The main successes and characters of the paper are as follows: 1) Describes the function of process planning information in enterprise'sinformation system, and puts forward a new construction for the enterpriseinformation system, which build on process planning information system.Discusses the relation between the process planning information and productionmanagement information system and puts forward a new idea that the process planning information is the guide of production process, and the production management system is based on the process planning information2) According to the features of the large-sized hydraulic machinery design and production, by analyses their operation-flow and data-flow, designed a general framework and functional model of the CAPP system based on network to suit to its production management, constructed the general structure and functional model of CAPP system which is adaptive to the need of production and management, as well as designed the database logic structure and physical structure. Based on these works mention above, developed a prototype CAPP system.3) The interfaces among CAPP, CAD and production management system are constructed in PDM frame. CAPP obtains information from CAD with varied paths, and constructing the process-tree and generating information of material and working-time of production of then production management system. These offer a good condition for integrating CAPP, CAD and production management system perfectly.4) Builds a internal working coordination system based on intranet to solve the problem of parallelism of different process planning preparation. The system also gives a general cooperative platform for the process department and other technology department.5) Puts forward a strategy to develop CAPP system, which integrated with process planning resource management, process file management and process flow management. The resource and information can be shared well inside process department. Put forward an uniform expression mode of manufacturing resource. It makes process planning information to be shared in whole enterprise.6) The data access mode in the CAPP system is client/server (C/S) and browser/server (B/S). C/S model was adopted inside the CAPP system for the purpose of input of information batch and the concurrent control in network environment. The B/S structure was adopted for information issuance, which ispropitious to the maintain and distribution of the system.7) The SGCAPP system developed for Jiajiang Hydraulic Machinery Works based on prototype CAPP system has been put into application for more than half a year. Due to well design, the acceptance is passed in this year. |
