High temperature air oil-free ignition is the advanced burning technology with wideapplication prospect. Much oil has to be consumed when coal-fired boilers start up andunder low load in thermal power plant now. Thus it is of great importance to study hightemperature air oil-free ignition technology.Numerical simulation method is employed in this thesis to investigate variousoperating conditions of high-temperature air direct-ignition burner of pulverized coal.Several important factors which influence the ignition of pulverized coal are analyzed,which are pulverized coal concentration, the inlet velocity of primary air flow, thevelocity and temperature of high temperature air and pulverized coal fineness. And theoptimal values of before-mentioned factors are produced. On the basis ofbefore-mentioned study results, some conditions of starting up of boiler are studied withnumerical method. The study results will provide guidance for operation optimization ofthe burner and starting up of boilers.
