As a new propulsion mode, Electric Propulsion is widely used in many fields;for example, warship and luxurious liner. Compare to classic diesel propulsion system, it is economical, safe and easy to operate and has less noise. Nevertheless, without advanced communication systems, ship can't communicate with others like island and will be inefficient and unsafe. Therefore, the intelligent ship network is necessary.The dissertation discusses the design of control and supervision network in electric propulsion ship with five chapters. In chapter one, aimed at the main object of design, it introduces the necessity of developing network and the general situation of electric propulsion ship. In chapter two, it refers the whole concept and the most composing of electric propulsion ship. In chapter three, the attributes of selected fieldbus and equipments such as Siemens PLC STEP 7-300, STEP 7-400, ET200M are introduced. In chapter four and five, it explains the hardware and software of the control and supervision system in detail. It introduces the network situation of system and integrant subsystems with pictures in chapter four and the displays with WinCC in chapter five. There are two sections: the control process of subsystems with many pictures and the main functions in WinCC used to realize the logic control.With c script and the visual displays, user can get the actual running status of ship and send corresponding commands. Furthermore, there are many lock in programs. In the end the security of driving ship is advanced and the system has a certain practical value.
