Aerospace Model Engineering project (launch vehicle, satellite, spaceship and missile) is usually a large-scale project involving many different technologies and participants with a long period. As an important part of the project management system, planning management is of particularly significant meaning in Aerospace Model Engineering project. However, many problems remains in the project planning and scheduling and process control in Aerospace Model Engineering project management of China. In this case, this dissertation focuses on the research of aerospace engineering project management techniques based on information technology and project management theory. Thus it includes following contents:1. Deep analysis is conducted to find out the status quo of the project planning and scheduling as well as problems existing in the Aerospace Model Engineering project management, the synopsis of a solution is then raised utilizing project management theory.2. In order to make a more comprehensive plan with distinctively different layers for Aerospace Model Engineering project, a hierarchical network planning technique is studied based on a modified work breakdown structure in line with the characters of Aerospace Model Engineering project management. This technique has already been integrated in the corresponding management information system and put into practical applications.3. As there are conflicts concerning the access of shared resources among plans of different projects, an iterative algorithm is studied to solve the resource-constrained multi-project scheduling problem.4. The research on how to implement effective control and modification of the project schedule using Practical Progress Vanguard Line method. Then discussions on the process control and relative techniques of altering project schedules are unfolded based on management information system.5. A management information system which incorporates above-mentioned techniques is thoroughly illustrated, including the structure and modules of the system.
