Study On New Towns Of CQ Metropolitan Area

Since the beginning of the 1990s,some of Chinese mega-cities have started making the construction of new towns as one of the crucial strategies for urban development。As a mega-city of westward zone in China,Chongqing has gain a great leap forward development on society and economy。During strategy process from "big city,big rural" to the international metropolis,the construction of new towns in metropolitan area becomes the"leading"for urban development。The article first reviews the relevant theory on new town,then analyze and sum up the experience about new towns construction of some world metropolises。This article,by empirical studying on the state of early development of Western New Town,Eastern New Town and Caijia New Town in Chongqing metropolitan area,and integrating a practical project of the concept planning on Yuzui,determines the focus of this study is about development strategy and related issues on new towns in Chongqing metropolitan area,and expends a dissertation in response to the"new towns in Chongqing metropolitan area", which is the main focus on the "causes, development, recommendations "on three levels。On the level of research,this article can be divided into"macro, meso and micro"three levels,the macro-level is studying on the relevant content about wide urban and metropolitan area of Chongqing,and has an initial discussion of the necessity for the development of new towns in metropolitan areas;The meso-level is studying on the construction status and the development strategy of new towns in metropolitan areas itself;The micro-level,through study on the case about the concept planning on Yuzui New Town,and conjunction with practical experience,further elaborated some advice on the development of Chongqing new towns。New town,as urban form,plays a vital role in the development of Chongqing metropolitan area,alleviates the press on population and industry of the central urban,plays a growing role in the control of large unrestricted blind expansion,is a reasonable way to the ideals of urban structure,and is the need of consummating the city function。Through study on the new towns in metropolitan area,this article hopes for gaining an advance on real and ideal development of Chongqing metropolitan area,forming a unique development outlook for metropolitan area。...
