The dimensional globoidal indexing cam mechanism,As a result of the steady movement, accurate, the transmission ceaseless and is suitable for high speed indexing and precise indexing. Now it is the most ideal high speed precision indexing mechanism in the world, and it is being widely applied on each kind of automaton and the production line, this mechanisms prospect of application is broad, arouses the people enormous interest. But the examination of the globoidal indexing cam mechanism is a quite weak link, the manufacturers don't give the examination because of the difficulty of the geometry shape error examination of the cam contour. So it is very important for developing this experiment bed.On the base of the virtual instrument technology, in this article the utilization of modern test technology, the sensor technology, the computer technology and the bus technology test the indexing precision and the dynamic characteristic of the dimensional globoidal indexing cam mechanism. The primary coverage as follows:Firstly, according to the running features of the globoidal indexing cam mechanism establishes mathematical model, then builds overall design. With the computer controlling the output of the digital signals and the analog signals, controls and adjusts startup, stop, turn and rotational rapidity of the transducer-electromotor and the strength of brake actuator; installs the torque sensor on dynamical axis, and installs the encoder on non-dynamical axis of the dimensional globoidal indexing cam mechanism; Utilizes the virtual instrument language LabVIEW development the test and control system, with the computer real-time monitoring, late displays and storages the data of the test, and processes the data and analyses it. Secondly, this paper introduces equipment choosing, mechanical system designing, the design principle of the electric system and man-machine interface, discussing the process of development software system mainly. With the DMA technology, acquires torque's data with high speed. With the LabVIEW language development the driver of movement parameteracquisition such as displacement, has accomplished testing and controlling aim of whole system.The theory modeling and the field test data has indicated that, the measure and control bed on dimensional globoidal indexing cam mechanism success to complete the indexing precision examination, the input and output instantaneous torque and the motion curve accurate test, has achieved the anticipated test goal.
