Suspen-dome is a novel and reasonable of long-span hybrid space structure based upon the single-layer spherical lattice shell and the tensegrity system. The tensegrity systems help suspen-dome reduce the burden on boundary structures, avoid problems of excessive flexibility and increase resistance to bucking. The erection method of suspen-dome is easier than the cable-dome.In this paper, based on the other scientists'study, the characteristics of suspen-dome and the development of the structure abroad and home have been known.After studying the characteristics of typical suspen-dome with the software ANSYS, the method of analyzing have been mastered. By comparing with the static characteristics of single-layer spherical lattice shell, the static characteristics of suspend-dome have been known primarily, which can help the parameters analysis afterwards.In this paper, the static characteristics have been analyzed absolutely. The influence of the structural parameters such as rise-span ratio, heights of strut, the numbers of hoop cables and prestresses of cables on the structural characteristics and deformation have been concluded. Static characteristics include the Max. radical reaction force, the Max. displacement of the structure and the axial force of elements. The bound of logical parameters of different structural parameters, which can offer advice and reference for more designs and constructions of suspen-dome are attained.In addition, some new forms of structure joints and erection have been summarized and studied at the end of the paper.
