Based upon comprehensive analysis and evaluation of current operations for electric power cable tunnel, this paper points out that it is necessary to establish computerized synthetic supervisory control system for the electric power cable tunnel.Next in order, referring to developments of the industry spot control system such as highway tunnel control system, this paper presents its innovative definition. The system is built on the ground of the most recent technology within various fields such as microprocessor, network, image dealing, supervisory control, field-bus, digital sensor, multi-media and digital data processing.
