Study On Effect Of Side Parking To Traffic

Side parking lot is the main constituent part of city parking facility. It didn't have a systemic research on side parking problem in our country. Foreign experiences show that the side parking has ascending proportion in the whole parking resources when the city transportation became fine.The fixed property and the fixed quantity analyzing method are adopted. Combine road and parking characteristics of Beijing, it analyzed the side parking influence of traffic and established the principle of side parking set. At the beginning of this paper, analyzed main forms and characteristics of side parking, tallied up the influence to the road condition, the condition and road traffic and safety of the road transportation. According to the theories summarized the process method of side parking lot. Secondly it analyzed parking problem of Beijing city according as the investigation and discussed the coefficient of road capacity model. In practical analysis, taking Yuetang south road and Beilishi road side parking lots in Xicheng district for example and gave advice to optimize the management of side parking lot. At last, it gave principle of side parking set in Beijing city and optimization management advice in thenear and future.
