Loudi Parking Facilities Planning Research

With the rapid development of economy in Loudi, motor vehicle population has also increased substantially correspondingly. And hard parking in Loudi has been further exacerbated because of the unreasonable planning of parking facilities, people’s lacking of awareness in proper parking and some other existing problems.By referring to domestic and international research, this paper first comes up with studying the parking problem of Loudi from the perspective of parking facilities planning, based on analysis of the current situation of parking facilities of Loudi. Secondly, as to the forecasting of parking demand, parking demand is divided into basic parking demand and social parking demand. The conclusion that there is unbalance between supply and demand in parking of Loudi is reached according to the results of needs. In addition, development strategy goals and general idea of parking of Loudi is proposed and tasks and countermeasures in the future development is indicated from the strategic level according to the basic experience of the parking at home and abroad. Finally, the parking facility planning of Loudi is intensively studied:①Off road parking lot, planning content, the guiding ideology and arrangement principles are put forward and the principles for site selection of parking lot are optimized. And configuration schema of off road parking lot in central city of Loudi and the planning of freight parking lot has been studied according to the predictions based on parking demand, parking turnover rate.②Side parking lot’s arrangement principle are explained; its configuration schema is given and management measures within the road has been presented according to predictions based on parking demand.③Appertaining parking’s several indicators in typical cities at home and abroad have been elaborated and its indicators of Loudi City have been investigated.
