| Building energy saving is a great of architect technology in the development of world architecture, and it is a key point in sustainable development of the architecture.Our work on building conservation began in early 1980's, then it had been put on more thought, but China is still a big building energy's consumption country. Now, we are short of the systematic study on energy conservation in building design. Compared to other countries our work on energy conservation is in the early stage, we still have much work to do.Recently, more and more residential buildings in Xi' an have been developed greatly. As heat-needed building in cold region, the energy saving is an important problem. The energy consumption consists of two parts, one is the transmission from wall, the other is the air releasing from window gap. The two parts of energy consumption holds half of the whole building energy consumption. As we know, the windows which is an important part of energy conservation. To improving the heat-holding, ability and to strengthen the air-sealing of windows are important contents in building energy conservation.The article mainly take the outdoor window of Xi' an residential as research key, analysis the building envelop and the design factor of building energy saving; and take the method of investigation and simulation analysis, with the climatic conditions of xi' an, the paper put forward development of xi' an residential, based on this point, the paper take the optimize designing and transform of saving energy, at the same time, analyzing the benefit of building energy saving by the using of efficient and economic, which make the people more clearly the benefit of the saving energy.
