Because of the quick development of mechatronics, which is based on the mechanics, electronics, computer technology and other technology, education equipment for mechatronical experiments can not meet the education demands any more. Therefore, a new education platform is developed by Hefei University of Technology in this thesis, which can afford a lot of experiments on mechatronical experiments.In this paper, the total design of HFUT-1 education platform for mechatronical experiments is proposed. According to the demands of function and designing parameters, some works are carried out. In mechanical appliance, it is included the design, calculation, selection, assembling of lathe. In electrical hardware, it is adopted module thoughtway to design the circuit of hardware interface, including the module of CPU, keyboard and display, A/D & D/A switch, power transmission, step motors drive, switch output/input gate, etc. Meanwhile, the PCB is created for control system to provide the good hardware platform by some technique of anti-jamming. In addition, it is programmed by C language for Semi-closed Control of step motors, the display control of keyboard and Real-time and the control of transducer, lathe principal axis. Besides, four education experiments are designed, which were applied successfully in education experiment of Mechatronics Engineering, in 2006.
