By entering 21st century energy resource becomes a vital problem related to human being's existence and development. It is urgently needed to take measures to extend the usage of renewable energy and develop associated technology. Solar and wind energy are two of the widely attended new energy resources featuring much higher exploitation, well developed technique, wide application and bright business expectation. The dissertation is based on the project that aims at the development of a solar-wind coordinated home supply to deliver electricity to 9 million families that are still in difficulty to reach public electricity facility. With an overview on the present status and the trends in this area, the dissertation proposes a design of a cost-reliability-efficiency oriented solar-wind coordinated home supply that embodies controller and inverter with satisfactory performance. A strategy based on deviation-observation-adjustment method is realized for the MPPT control. In the design of the container the heat dissipation structure is designed according to aerodynamics and isolating panels are set to improve the EMC. The controller is designed with a cheap and stable microcontroller PIC16F73 that assures the stability and reliability. In the engineering practice, an experience-based d and simplified design is proposed. A 2500W solar-wind coordinated power station built in the Lopnors district, Xinjiang Vigur autonomous Region, verified the feasibility of the design after more than one year operation under harsh environment.
