Standardization is the trend of electrical information system, especially for Energy Management System(EMS) and Substation Automation System (SAS). In recent years, the substation automation system and EMS system can not keep up with the rapid development of the computer and communication technology, so the IEC TC57 group had made the IEC-61850 standard for SAS system and the IEC-61970 standard for EMS system. IEC61850/61970 had defined their own data model and the correspondence interface standard respectively. The IEC61850/61970 standards have been firstly introduced in the article, then the researched and designed about the system data model and the correspondence interface standards based on the two standards. In the research process, two kinds of possible communications system realization plan had been discussed in the article.one of the plans is directly based on the IEC61850 standard and the other plan is based on the third part Transforming module in the EMS system. Then, the related data transformation model has been discussed and realized detailedly; including the communication interface system service based on the CORBA middleware platform and the data model based on the real time Database system-FASTDB.Finally, the data model conformed to the IEC61850/61970 standard has been set up in the article, including the SCADA system in EMS and the Logical Node data model in the IED based on the C++ programming language, the opensource software—FastDB real-time database system, the CORBA middleware platform, as well as the communication interface system. Base on these researches, a simple experimental system has been established. Through the Interoperability experiment, the object-oriented communication system plan has been proved feasibility.
