The Planning Of Qingdao Railway Terminal

Qingdao Railway Terminal is one of the national important railway terminals, Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan-Qingdao dedicated passenger line, Jiaozhou-Jinan, Lancun-Yantai, Jiaozhou-Xinyi, Qingdao-Rongcheng intercity railway line and Jiaozhou-Huangdao railway around the harbor converge here. Jiaozhou-Jinan railway is the main passage for Qingdao to contact with the outsides, link to Handan-Jinan, Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan, Shijiazhuang-Dezhou, Beijing-Shanghai and Beijing-Kowloon Railway, link up such provinces as Henan, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, etc., and then lead to the whole country. Lancun-Yantai and Jiaozhou-Xinyi railway, linking with Jiaozhou-Jinan Railway, are the component of the railway network corridor from the Northeast to Changjiang Delta.During the planning years, with the construction of Qingdao-Rongcheng intercity railway line, the connection of the cities of Jiaodong Peninsula will be closing, and with the ferry between Yantai and Dalian's transportation, Qingdao Terminal will also undertake the departure(receiving) and transshipment assignment of the traffic flow in parts of the Northeast of China, Jiaodong Peninsula and the northern district of Changjiang River of Xinyi-Changxing railway. Qingdao Terminal will be formed of a modernized comprehensive railway network, including existing railways, dedicated passenger lines, intercity railways line, and linking up five railways of four directions. Qingdao Railway Terminal will be regarded as the joint of the two passages, one on land for east to west and another on the sea for south to north, and its function in the national railway network will be strengthened day by day.Because of Jiaozhou-Jinan railway line iv , Qingdao-Rongcheng intercity railway line and Taiyuan-Qingdao dedicated passenger line leading to Qingdao Terminal, the passenger volume will increase by a wide margin in the planning years. The existing passenger traffic systems can't meet the need of transportation, so a planning study for the layout of passenger traffic systems of the terminal is needed.According to the leading-in scheme of Jiaozhou-Jinan railway line iv and Qingdao-Rongcheng intercity railway line to the terminal and the characteristic of rate of traffic flow, the paper have studied two location schemes of the second passenger station in Qingdao and organize the way to enter two schemes of station in Qingdao according to different pattern of train working organization,with the urban planning and future urban rail transportation overall arrangement of Qingdao and related departments of Railway Bureau of Jinan and government's suggestion of Qingdao, and on the basis of scheme of the general drawing.
