Along with the rapid developement of modern industry and the intensifying competition of domestic market,lifting machinery is getting wider and wider application and playing a more and more significant role in the modernization and crane requirements are increasing. Because of cranes have numerous specifications, complex structure and diverse organizations, the relationship between the structurals are complex ,the crane designing work is very hard; therefore, manuaul calculation, the traditional method has been unable to meet the current development trend that is high quality, high speed and high efficiency. This dissertation based on structure caculation of deck crane has developed the design software which intend to shorten the design cycle and reduce the design burden under the Visual C++ platform.The dissertation fisrt reviews the actuality of CAD technology of the Deck cranes and the basic methed of the structure caculating for the cranes. Then the Ansys models which suit to validate the result of the structure caculating model are established,finally, the program integrated with BP neural network is constructed which to realize the automatic calculation. The main contents include:(1) The establishment of mathematical caculate model: constructe of the mathematical caculate models according to the crane's structure and sorte out the results. Then the 3D finite element analysis models of the crane's jib and tower as well as pillar are established under the Ansys software whose design dimensions are the original design parameters, and the results of the mathematical model are validated by the results of the 3D Ansys models which provides precondition for realization of the automatic calculation.(2) The establishment and implementation of BP neural network: The calculating by hand of the jib is very complex own to its complex structure, Then the BP neural network is constructed to map the design variables and targets which is to search the optimal solution,then program under VC platform to realize the establishment of BP neural network which provides precondition for integration under VC platform. (3) Structure calculation program design: Traditionally, the Finite Element Analysis of crane is based on the GUI interactive manner which is restricted by the software environment and required a higher level of expertise and software proficiency that will bring a lot of repetitive operations, and will also lead to a higher level of system error and man-caused error. This dissertation has developed common user-friendly interfaces to realize the whole process of crane designing under VC platform, which simplifies the design process and shorten the design cycle.
