There is a gap in Road's life between our country and international advanced level. This is mostly because the construction technique of our country is lower than the advanced level. Paver, as an important machine in the road construction,The stability and reliability of it's work have important influence on the quality of the working road.The research purpose of this thesis is to improve the reliability and stability of paver,enhance the quality of working road to satisfy the traffic's high quality demand. Paver's work performance mostly depends on the accuracy control and steady working of travelling control system and feeding/paving control system. So this thesis designs travelling controller and feeding/paving controller especially.This thesis introduces the work principle of travelling controller and feeding/paving controller,points out that it must improve the working quality of the two parts to enhance the working performance of paver. It discusses the different performances of travel controller used the conventional PID arithmetic or fuzzy parameters self-adjusted PID arithmetic, by analyzing the two work status, paving and travelling. The results of simulation indicates that the traveling controller adopts fuzzy parameters self-adjusted PID arithmetic will be more stable, response more quickly, and has smaller deviation. It is able to enhance the performance of travelling and paving largely.Against the demands of high accuracy and continuously work of paver, this thesis utilizes ultrasonic to measure the thickness of paving materials, discusses the factors which influent the measuring result. Against the wide range change of working temperature, the thesis designs temperature compensating circuit. Practice indicates that the feeding/paving controller based on ultrasonic distance measuring can complete the work more accurately.The intelligent control system in paver is based on ARM embedded system, adopt CAN bus to communicate in the interior. This thesis designs the communication system between the travel controller, feeding/paving controller and control center. The thesis completes the interaction between the operator and machine by ARM MCU.The center controller realizes surveille the whole states of the paver and change the work parameters by CAN bus.Experiment results indicate that the design of intelligent control system based on ARM embedded system is feasible, and have better real-time capability, reliability and stability, comparing to other control system based on PLC or DSP technique.
