Ship Survey Management Information System Based On Workflow Platform

Ship survey is an important legal method adopted by ship survey organizations for survey according to state regulations and relative procedure documents. With the development of information technology and management technology, domestic ship survey informatization work has made great progress, while it exists some shortcomings. These shortcomings mainly present that Ship Survey Management Information System now being used was developed based on C/S Architecture, which can not apply in intersectional Internet environments, and which is disadvantageous in the business management and surveillance of ship survey organizations to their subordinate organizations.This paper adopts the workflow technology for modeling ship survey business processes, researches and develops Ship Survey Management Information System based on workflow platform and B/S Architecture with the application of Java cross-platform technology. This system can realize survey business management in flow, manage survey data centrally, and fully satisfy the requirements that ship survey bureaus and their subordinate bureaus use the same information platform.The paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the prolegomenon, in which the backgrounds, the purpose & meanings, the content and the framework of organization of this paper are introduced.The second chapter discusses the concept and basic theory of workflow technology.The third chapter introduces several key technologies used during the development of the system, especially workflow technology, Struts technology and iText print technology.The fourth chapter analyzes the function requirements of the Ship Survey Management Information System.The fifth chapter introduces the design of the Ship Survey Management Information System based on workflow platform, including the whole structure and the design of the database in this system, the design of business process, the design of work lists, the design of process monitor management module, as well as the design of authority management module.The sixth chapter introduces the implementation of Ship Survey Management Information System based on workflow platform.The last chapter summaries the work of this paper, and introduces the improvements of this system.This paper takes the research of Chongqing Ship Survey Management Information System as a foundation to do further work, and the new system fully satisfies the actual requirements of Chongqing ship survey business. At the same time, the versatile problem is fully considered in this system, so it can be promoted to other ship survey organizations conveniently.
