The large-scale crawler crane is controlled generally by the hydraulic pressure and the electricity, the control system is getting more and more complex, fast examination and recognition of system's breakdown has been far from the operators' power, the remote condition monitoring is the effective measure for judging the large-scale crawler crane whether to deviate the normal function, monitoring its trend of development and preventing burst breakdown. Gathering the full and accurate state variable and transmitting them to the long-distance server is an important part of the entire large-scale crawler crane remote condition monitoring system, and is normal operating foundation of the whole system.What this paper discusses is a kind of intelligent terminal which can gather and real-time transmits the data to the long-distance server, and is utilized in the large-scale crawler crane remote condition monitoring system. This intelligent terminal is built on hoist crane's CAN bus control system, takes digital signal controller TMS320F2808 and GPRS,GPS two-in-one module XT55 as a core, intergrates CAN, GPRS, GPS and the DSP/BIOS technology, seamlessly integrates the CAN bus and the hoist crane internal control system, real-time gathers hoist crane's running status parameter, transmits the data to the server by GPRS method. The cross-region experiment indicates that this terminal is suitable for to the large-scale crawler crane remote condition monitoring, and of positive practical significance to realize hoist crane's track, the driving maintenance and preventing burst breakdown.The paper first introduces researching background, the significance and the present situation of the topic, analyzes designing outline of the intelligent terminal and the related key technologies and theory; Then analyzes control system's basic principle of the large-scale crawler crane, on which proposes demanding plan of the intelligent terminal; Then designes and realizes the hardware of the intelligent terminal, simultaneously also consideres the EMC design of the entire intelligent terminal; Then designes and realizes the software of the intelligent terminal on the DSP/BIOS, discusses the thread designing plan, the entire flow design and the main software module design with emphasis; Then designes the test platform to carry on the simulation debugging to the intelligent terminal, and consummates the overall system. The final scene experiment indicates that this intelligent terminal runs stably and reliably, has achieved the anticipated designing requirements.The paper finally has made the summary and the appraisal for the structure and the performance of the intelligent terminal: Seamlessly integrating the CAN bus and the hoist crane internal control system and gathering state variable makes the resources and the development cost lower; The utilization of digital signal controller TMS320F2808 both reduces use of the peripheral device and raises the system's running rate; The use of real-time operating system DSP/BIOS both reduces the entire software system's coupling and enhances the system's timeliness; Moreover realization of the power failure function and the short note establishment function make the entire terminal to be more intellectualized. The paper also proposes some forecast to the next intelligent terminal for the large-scale crawler crane control system finally.
