With the rapid development of economy, urbanization and mobilization, the demand of traffic is ever increasing. Urban traffic is facing severe test and challenge. Constructing mass rapid transit has already become an important measurement to develop public transportation system with complete function. In order to fully play an important role as a backbone and total benefit for urban rail transit, public transportation system should meet the needs of different levels of passenger transport and has cooperated joining of every transport system as its prerequisite. Thus, how to cooperate the development of the rail transit and bus transit has become an urgent task.Firstly, the thesis analyzes rail transit and bus transit using the theory of synergetics. Then,the thesis studies the two system from three levels: point, line and area. At the point level, based on analyzing the necessity of setting a reasonable distance of rail transit station and the main influencing factors of optimal station distance, the model of reasonable distance between rail transit stations is set up considering bus transit. By analyzing the layout of typical hub at abroad, typical hub is reasonable laid out and designed. At the line level, the method of adjusting bus transit in the rail transit affected area is analyzed, and the feeder bus system is analyzed. Considering the general constraint conditions and transit goal in the network optimization problem of urban public transit, the maximum feeder efficiency model of unit expense in feeder bus system is established. At the area level, the two systems are studied from two aspects of the management System and technique. The advice to reform the management system is provided, the rail transit and bus transit transfer synergies scheduling model are established based on ITS environment. An index system for coordination evaluation of rail transit and bus transit is established base on analysis above. Finally, the thesis makes an empirical analysis on typical hub and reasonable distance between rail transit stations in ChangSha.The thesis carries on the effective integrative use to the existing research results; it not only enriches the pubic transport synergetics theory, but also provides reference for scientific decision of traffic planning, construction and management.
