The first high-rise steel structure residence building in Shanxi Province is based on constructed one floor of underground and four floors of over ground. Through the transition of steel reinforced concrete and box-steel concrete, the project is increased height with steel frame-brace structure. The height of building is 127.45 meters. Whether the difficulty of add-floors or the complexity of structure analysis, the project is few in domestic area.Based on finite element method, an engineering example is analyzed by using design software SATWE. The thesis mainly covers the following topics:1. By comparison of four different model, tower and new shear wall's influence to structure's whole performance is analyzed.2. The static analysis, modal analysis, response spectrum analysis and elastic time-history analysis are performed, in order to discuss structure's response under earthquake. By processing the calculation, the internal force and deformation are obtained. 3. Elastic time-history method is used for model four; the response under the contribution of three earthquake waves is compared with the spectrum results.4. Through optimizing to structural system, stiffness mutation is resolved by using SRC and CFT structure; key technology problem is also discussed in the paper.The study of the project provides reasonable design guidelines for similar project and establishes a foundation for further research.
