Data in power system are the important source to be used by many power system advanced applications which is the base for decisions of power system. But there are a lot of difficulties in data sharing and information integration because of heterogeneous and huge data source. With the fast development of computer science, the trend of electrical information integration is standardization, network and module. For the purpose of making integration convenient, International Electrical Commission (IEC) puts out IEC 61970 as the standard in the field of power system data sharing. It helps to realize plug, reduce the cost of integration and protect the resources. The core of IEC 61970 includes two parts: Common Information Model (CIM) and Component Interface Specification (CIS). CIM is an important tool in integration, which has defined the information sharing model. It is also soul of logical data structure. CIS is the component interface specification for the access of CIM itself and the data.Firstly, based on a firmly study of CIM, for the sake of TODSS's integration, an updated CIM database schema is proposed. Secondly, based on CIM/CIS and distributed component technology such as Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA), a C/S data exchange application for heterogeneous system is developed. The data exchange application also use NHibernate to make up of the ORM layer. Next, based on CIM/XML, an import/export application is developed. A large data example has proved the above two solutions correctly and efficiently.Lastly, based on ICE, an application which exchanges data between P5 and TODSS is developed.
