A Study On The Vernacular Architecture In The Southeast Area Of Hubei

Vernacular architecture is an important part of the traditional Chinese architecture with its regional, nationgal, native feature, which has been concerned and researched by more and more people. The article combines with the results of Yang Jie who researches the types of vernacular architecture in HuBei, takes the Southeast area of HuBei as the research object, where the vernacular architecture is protected better, and has very high research value. Having the aid of typology, the article is divided into three levels, as follows: macroscopic, middle and microcosmic levels, In order to explore the value and the development regular of the local vernacular architecture, to enrich and perfect the system of traditional village research and traditional folk art in HuBei.The major research content includes: in macroscopic level, researching living environment and type of the vernacular architecture; in middle level, researching the local ancient village about plan, space, shape and so on, discussing the various influence elements about its form, in order to analyze the feature of the local ancient village; in microcosmic level, researching the type of architecture in the local ancient village, including the plan shape, space composition, in order to analyze the model and the feature of the local vernacular architecture .With the purpose of inheriting and developing the quintessence of the local vernacular architecture, the author hope that through this article research, it supplies some references for the next research and the modern architecture design, arousing more and more people to concern and protect the vernacular architecture.
