The Power SCADA System Based On Open Source Database

SCADA in electric power system is already an important automation system in utility now. Based on MYSQL,a open source database, a simple, economical and practicable SCADA system is built.SCADA system is considered as a most primary subsystem of EMS in power system, can help us with integrating information, improving efficiency, knowing system operation status correctly, making decision more quickly and diagnosing system fault rapidly, is already become an indispensable tool for power dispatch. It is irreplaceable for improving reliability, security and economical benefit of power grid, reducing burden of operator, realizing power dispatching automation and modernization and improving efficiency and level of operation.SCADA in electric power system is mainly divided into front-end subsystem, data handling subsystem, historical database subsystem, WEB subsystem and so on. Functions and Designing method of every modules are introduced in detail in this article.
