With the rapid development of the economy and technology, the quality of people's lives are constantly improving, the automation of the whole society is gradually improving. The urban society and their lives most closely related to a higher power supply requirements. We are also working to achieve the national grid distribution automation to improve the distribution system of the computer to the quality and reliability. 60 years ago, China's distribution substation and circuit switching equipment, operation and control are artificial, at the last of 70s, gradually began distribution substation, circuit switch and user equipment, remote monitoring technology. At present, our country distribution systems (110kV and below) implements most of the three remote substations and unattended, however, we are still in the initial stage, even if the distribution automation system has been applied practical level.Due to the lack of standards, norms,planning and other reasons, the " automate island" phenomenon has been existed in the distribution automation system both at home and abroad. The automation systems in power supply enterprises, such as dispatching automation, geographic information system, and the load management system, automatic meter reading system, customer service system, management information system, etc. exist the problem of poor system integration and repeat construction, for instance the poor open, mutual information cannot be shared or data exchange interface is not standard. The next development direction employs the common data model which developing the distributed power distribution automation system and management information system based on enterprise data bus.The second part describes the system structure of the system of distribution automation. It introduces hardware and software configuration structure of distribution automation system. It also describes the basic organization of distribution network SCADA, including the monitoring object and hierarchical organization of the system .what'more ,it does a detailed exposition on the main function of distribution network SCADA , meanwhile it also makes a plan for the direction of our own design, this paper sets these features here.The third part describes real-time database system design of the distribution network SCADA system. First, it defines the concept of real-time database. There is regularly showing the timing characteristics or restrictions for data and physical as real-time database. Next, the real-time database structure and internal functions are briefly introduced. Configuration software of real-time database mainly completes the data management of the control system and meets the requirements of data processing of control system and saves all the data of control systems, which involves data organization and management of real-time database, in the paper, there is a detailed introduction for the part. It also makes a brief introduction about features and the development strategy of real-time database.The communication network is an important part of the distribution automation system, and greatly affects the real-time, reliability and building maintenance costs of the system. The fourth part of the article focuses on the introduction of the communication network of the distribution automation system in detail. Talking about communication, we must refer to communication channels. The article in this section has done a great length of the note of the channel selection. The characteristics of every kinds of communication channel are described detailedly. We can select the communication channel by the advantages and disadvantages of every kinds of conmunication channel. Also the switch of the machine on standby is introduced.The fifth part of the article is to integrate theory with practical, describes the case application of distribution automation in the 220KV rectifier substation. This issue is the design of a set of SCADA system, according to the technical requirements of the system, from the perspective of reliability and economy, based on the hardware of the 220KV rectifier substation of a large factory. The hardware equipment structure and the hierarchical organizational structure of the SCADA system is firstly introduced. The the system is dvided into the three layers, which are sub-interval level, management level, and master level, dual-network structure with two computers. The fifth part focuses on combination of the function interfaces of SCADA system and literal description, and introduces the function of the SCADA system.The sixth part has made the summary to the entire chapter paper's prime task, and has made the simple forecast to the following work direction.The design and research of 220KV rectifier substation distribution automation of SCADA system carried out on the basis of serious researchusing of operating personnel and maintenance personnel.After careful meticulous work, system function can completely satisfy the new application of various aspects of need, can achieve better guarantee the safe and stable operation of the grid. It applies a lot of new technologies and ideas. In the original system to ensure application functionality, based on more complete basis of the original system, enrich its content. In the guarantee original system application function's foundation, in the more perfect original system's foundation, has enriched its content.It meets the first part we talked about the planning needs of a modern distribution automation and management of distributed information systems.
