Study On The Planning For Rural Communities In Western Metropolis Suburbs

With the quick development of the cities, rural communities in the suburbs are suffering a lot. Many problems have appeared not only in society and economy but also in construction. In different economic region, the Metropolis has influenced the rural community differently in industry development, land layout, landscape, and living ways and so on. As one of the most important metropolises in western regions in China, Xi'an city has developed quickly for recent years, which has brought a lot of factors influenced the rural communities' development in suburbs. Firstly, good society and economic environment has improved Xi'an develop fast to create good foundation for village development in suburbs. Secondly, the city exploration has taken a large number of the village land in suburbs. Thirdly, the construction of the city traffic facilities has made the rural communities develop along them. Fourthly, the big projects have greatly influenced the rural community around. Fifthly, the guide of the city planning constrains the use of the land and has effect on the countryside in suburbs.In this situation, the author uses two ways to have a study on rural community planning in Xi'an suburbs. One is the theory relaxing to the practice, the other is comparisons.In theory, the author has read a lot of similar research and summarized some experience in rural communities' construction.In practice, the author has given a survey to about fifty villages in Xi'an suburbs and totally grasped the problems in rural communities about land use, industry development, the population and countryside constructions. Besides, the author takes Xinfang village and Qiliang village to have a further survey.In comparison, the author not only compares the suburb rural community development in different economic region, but also compares some excellent villages in Xi'an suburbs.After summarizing the theory and the experience and analyzing the current problems, the author gives the concrete planning ways for rural communities in Xi'an suburb. Firstly, the author gives consideration to the developing goals, the village departing and combination, industry development and the rural communities' population and area. Then the author has a study on traffic organization, public service facilities planning, green land layout and buildings' feature. In these foundations, the author makes detailed plans for Xinfang village and Qiliang village.
