Provincial Capital City Public Facility Design Research

Entering into the 21st century, city construction especially city public facilities have been made great progress and come into"golden era"under the development of domestic economics. The design of public facility becomes an emerging star and plays a very important role in the series of modern city public environment design. It not only presents the civilization and openness of a city but also indicates the historical culture and general impression to visitors. Therefore, city public facilities design is arousing both government and common citizens'attention and concern.This essay use provincial capital city public facility design as the main research direction, first come with analyze the development history and classification of public city facility; describe the relationship between city characteristic and public facility; target and principles, propose the provincial capital public facility design positioning while criticize the existing problems of current status and foresee the trend of provincial capital public facility design. Analyze the existing issues in domestic cities especially provincial capital city's public facility design by comparison with some typical domestic and international successful cases, while propose solutions and future trend. Last but not least, the author use some real cases of Jinan Quancheng Road shopping center as conclusions by combining concepts of plane design, industrial design, modern architecture design to achieve her purpose to appeal the public attention on domestic city especially provincial capital city's design quality and art standard improvement and the enhancement of public facility management, maintenance and city image beautification.The author also tries to find solutions for the issues of mismatching between provincial capital city public facility status and the fast developing city construction environment, and also the issues of dissatisfaction on facility functions.
